Cookies and Visitor Analytics
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. We measure visits to this website only with tools that do not use cookies and cannot identify you. We use cookies only to show ads in the Sklik ad network, and only with your consent.
To improve the website, we track which pages are visited and where visitors come from. We use:
- Umami – an analytics system running on this website's own server, so no data is shared with third parties. It does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses. It records the pages visited, the referring website, approximate location (country and region), device type, browser, operating system and language. Visits are distinguished only by a one-way, regularly changing fingerprint that cannot be traced back to who visited the website. For a share of visits, it also records where visitors click on a page and how far they scroll, and aggregates this into page heatmaps.
- Matomo – an analytics system run by Palacký University Olomouc on its own servers, configured not to use cookies. It provides only anonymised data, such as part of the IP address and basic information about the browser and device. This data is deleted automatically after 180 days.
The website contains the tracking code of the Sklik ad network operated by Seznam.cz. With your consent, it lets us show you ads about studying at Palacký University Olomouc on other websites (retargeting), and Seznam.cz stores its own cookies in your browser according to its own policies. Without your consent, the code sends information about the visit flagged as given without consent, and Seznam.cz does not use it for ad targeting.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
